Hello everyone,

I am just curious how much and what kind of traffic do you get from forum postings and of course from your signature file.

It is said that forum postings are very efficient free marketing tools. If you are posting in specific, niche forums you get quality, targeted traffic.

Do you agree? What are your experiences in this matter?

The majority of traffic that I get is from posting in forums. Forums are a great way to get traffic if you use the forums correctly.

1. First make sure and always read the rules, you would not believe how many people don't do this only to end up having their posts deleted or end up getting banned.

2. If a forum has an introduce yourself, make a post here.

3. Participate in various discussions. This helps others to get to know you and this is a great networking tool. Many people will only advertise their business and that is it...some people feel more comfortable dealing with someone they feel know a little than not at all. Plus the more you participate will help your signature to be seen by others.

4. Don't spam the board or place spam where it doesn't belong on a forum.

I post in a variety of types of forums. Some I visit daily, a few times a week and some a couple of times month.
